CivilSay - Bend
On November 5, 2009 the City Club in partnership with Greg Ranstrom of Outside Insights will provide an opportunity for citizens of Bend to gather for discussion about timely and important topics.
This Forum will employ the discussion guidelines set forth as part of CivilSay to encourage open, safe and welcome exchange of ideas around the issues of:
Public Transit
Bend Schools
The Greenprint Plan for Deschutes County
Healthcare Reform
The Central Oregon Economy
After the initial gathering on November 5th, citizens may select a topic group for ongoing discussion. The smaller groups will be asked to commit to five additional meetings over a six month period. The goal of these meetings is to identify the various viewpoints regarding the issues and where there is agreement or opposition in the various viewpoints.
The Bend CivilSay Regional Issues Forum will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bend Senior Center at: 1600 SE Reed Market Road in Bend.. If you are interested in participating or if you have questions please contact the City City Club of Central Oregon at 541-633-7163.
