WATER: Lifeblood of Central Oregon
As our region changes so do our needs. Chief among them is the need for water. What governs its allocation? Whose needs are most pressing? Who is facing these challenges?

On August 19th the City Club of Oregon will welcome Deschutes County Commissioner Alan Unger along with three advocates for varying uses of water to introduce the work being done by the Deschutes Water Alliance to tackle this critical issue.

Along with Commissioner Unger will be

  • Suzanne Butterfield, General Manager, Swalley Irrigation District
  • Tod Heisler, Executive Director, Deschutes River Conservancy
  • Patrick Griffiths, Water Resources Coordinator, City of Bend

Pre-registration is required by August 16th at 5:00 p.m. The cost to members is $15.00 for lunch.  Nonmembers pay $30.00 for lunch and program.

3) Call the City Club at 541-633-7163 to provide the names of those who will attend and pay cash or check at the door.

The Forum will begin at 11:30 and conclude at 1:00 p.m. This City Club Forum will be conducted at St. Charles Center for Health and Learning, 2500 NE Neff Road in Bend.
