10/29/2007 Measures 49 and 50

UNDERSTANDING MEASURES 49 & 50

A Brown Bag Lunch Forum with

NEIL BRYANT

Presented by the City Club of Central Oregon and
the Nancy R. Chandler Visiting Scholar Program

The City Club of Central Oregon is pleased to partner with the Nancy R. Chandler Visiting Scholar Program and provide an informal, open forum to learn more about Measures 49 and 50 and how passage or defeat of these measures will impact Oregon citizens.

This free forum will be held on Monay, October 29th from noon to 1:30 in Hitchcock Auditorium on the COCC Campus.  Hitchcock is located in Pioneer Hall.  During the event, open parking is available on College Way, or in the indicated lots around and between Cascades Hall and Newberry Hall.  Click here for a map of campus and the designated parking areas.

Neil Bryant, Senior Partner at Bryant, Lovlien & Jaris, P.C. will lead the discussion and answer questions.  This is a non-partisan Forum aimed at understanding the issues in a factual and accurate way.

Bryant urges those attending the Brown Bag Lunch to bring their Voters' Pamphlet with them.  He is also quick to point out that content control for the arguments in the pamphlet must adhere to only two criteria: 1) Arguments may not defamatory and 2) Arguments may not be obscene.  Therefore any citizen or organization wishing to submit an argument need only purchase the space for $500.00, or submit a petition signed by 1,000 voters.  These arguments are not edited for punctuation, grammar, syntax or inaccurate information.

Please plan to attend this important Forum, and lend your perspective to a valuable discussion about these measures.
