Understanding a Healthy Banking Community
in Central Oregon

On February 5, 2010 the City Club of Central Oregon and Opportunity Knocks will host a distinguished panel of banking experts to share information about community and national banking in Central Oregon. Linda Navarro, President and Chief Executive Officer of Oregon Bankers Association will present Community and National Banking, helping to distinguish how each operates in our community. Richard Renken, Banks and Trusts Program Manager with Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities will focus on the strength of banks in Central Oregon and Oregon, safety and soundness concerns and FDIC deposit insurance. Patti Moss, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of the Cascades will share legislative updates and information about TARP.
Jim Schell, Executive Director of Partnership to End Poverty will moderate the forum and facilitate question and answers at the conclusion of the presentations.
This special forum will begin at 11:15 am and conclude at 1:30p.m. The event will be held at St. Charles Center for Health and Learning. The cost of the program and lunch for City Club and Opportunity Knocks members is $20. Nonmembers pay $35.00.
