In a special City Club of Central Oregon forum, Governor Ted Kulongoski will discuss options for restructuring state government to overcome a decade of deficits created by the “Great Recession.” The recommendations come from the Governor’s Reset Cabinet, which identified ways in which the state can continue to meet its responsibilities for education, health and human services and public safety despite reduced revenues, higher costs and increased demands for safety net services.
For more information about why Oregon needs to reset government and the challenges before us over the next decade, go HERE.
The Governor's presentation Resetting Government will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on August 6th at the St. Charles Center for Health and Learning. Reservations can be made online HERE or by calling the City Club office at 541-633-7163.
Seats are $15.00 for City Club of Central Oregon members and $30.00 for non-members. A lunch buffet is included with the program.
Please RSVP by 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 2nd. Seating will be limited to the first 200 reservations, so register early.
I hope to see you there.
