Are membership dues tax-deductible?
The City Club of Central Oregon has applied for 501(c)(3) status. Once our application has been approved, dues, sponsorships and donations will be tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Where and when are the monthly Forums held?
Monthly Forums are held at St. Charles Meeting and Conference rooms. These events are typically held on the third Thursday of the month, although the availability of speakers may, from time to time, impact that date. Lunch will be served at 11:30 with the speaker beginning at 12:00. Forums conclude at 1:00 p.m.
If I miss a Forum, is there any other opportunity to hear or see it?
Yes, City Club programs are replayed Thursdays at 7:00pm on BendBroadband's COTV-11. All City Club programs that are televised are also available on Free local Video on Demand on Digital Cable (you must have BendBroadband's digital cable to get Video on Demand). Access Video on Demand to view Forums at your convenience.
Are credit cards accepted for membership dues and/or events?
Yes, citizens may join on line by credit card through this secure site, or may download an application and submit payment by check to the City Club of Central Oregon.
Are reservations required for City Club events?
In order to coordinate the number of lunches with the number of attendees, reservations are required for City Club events. To make a reservation(s) use the events - calendar link on this web site or call 541-633-7163 to speak with a City Club staff person who will gladly assist you.
Is it necessary to confirm reservations for City Club events?
No, it is not necessary to confirm reservations. However, should an event sell out, City Club staff reserves the right to confirm attendance and coordinate payment or, if over capacity, to place those last reserved onto a waiting list.
Must reservations be paid for prior to the event?
We strongly encourage all members and non-members to pay in advance allowing for a less hectic check-in process and more accurate planning.
Can members suggest potential speakers to the City Club?
Yes, members are encouraged to suggest potential speakers. The Program Committee reviews all written speaker proposals on several criteria, including but not limited to timeliness of the issue, interest to the membership and date availability.
